I was lucky enough to be involved with part of the process of birthing Captivate 2 and I must say that it's a big improvement on the previous version.
We use Captivate in house at work already for a number of clients, including ETrade Australia, for a variety of different purposes. I'm also involved in a lot of training and one of the products that I'm currently training is Captivate.
Two of the new features that I'd like to mention are the new visual branching view and greyout.
Visual branching means that as a developer it's a lot easier to see just how the logic comes together when you're creating multimedia with Captivate - you're able to see how the logic flows when using branching, and adjust to suit changes in the process.
Greyout allows the developer to focus the viewer's attention on specific parts of a demonstration or simulation that Captivate has been used to produce by dimming the remainder of the screen.
Adding closed captioning to presentations built in Captivate is another great new feature that means that you can also cater for those folk who don't have speakers - now everyone's accommodated.
Sounds great Andrew,
I used captivate quite a lot at my last employer, was very handy for internal training
