During WebDU I did a video interview for Builder AU with Tim Buntel. We talked about Scorpio, the future of ColdFusion and the meaning of life (actually no meaning of life, sorry). Entitled "Tim Buntel and the Tale of Scorpio" it'll give you some insight into what's happen right now with ColdFusion if you missed WebDU.
The lads from ZeroOne in Wellington are running a series of free Adobe community seminars online via Breeze, the second of which will be held tomorrow (Wednesday 12 July) at 10:00am Sydney time.

Was just looking at Thumblicious just now and noticed that FarCry Mollio is second on the del.icio.us most popular list, big congratulations to Geoff and the crew at Daemon.

It's a set of html/css templates or skin that was developed by Daemonite Pete Ottery for FarCry, their open source CMS.

Flash Forms in ColdFusion 7 has certainly proved to be a popular feature, many have tried them but found that they need to sometimes push them a little further. I'm happy to announce that I'll be presenting a session on just how you can use ActionScript to make Flash Forms jump through a few extra hoops at WebDU.

A big thanks to all those people who attended the national user group meeting that we had together in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne & Canberra last night, and to our two presenters Geoff Bowers & Nick McNaughton.
One of the highlights of the night was a CF Birthday Trivia Quiz that was in two rounds, state where each city conducted it's own quiz to choose a state champion, and national where the champions went head to head via Breeze with Brisbane the ultimate winner (after questionable scorekeeping by yours truely).
I managed to bang off a few photographs at last night's ColdFusion Birthday Bash here in Sydney and have just uploaded them to Flickr. I've done my best to put names to faces, please feel free to help me fill in the blanks.
I'm hoping to see more of what's gone on around the world, have just had a look at the preparations and behind the scenes at Newton on Damon Cooper's blog and at Talking Tree.

Tonight the NSW ColdFusion User Group (CFUG) is celebrating ColdFusion's 10th birthday here in Sydney and you're invited to join us.

MXDU kicked off with a bang this morning with yet another fantastic Flash animation from the guys at Nectarine. This year's Day One movie was inspired by the intro from The Incredibles movie. "Supers" based on Macromedia products were interviewed in the same style as the opening of the movie.
"Flash" was having trouble with his microphone - "it's funny, I can write thousands of lines of code but I don't know how to work one of these things...".
